General items of Rules:
- The allowed module formats:
MOD, S3M, XM, IT, BRT, STC, ASC, STP, PT3, PSC, FTC, SQT, NSF, SID.
- The use of VST is forbidden (except category 3).
- Only one module from one author is accepted in each category.
- No plagiarism, remakes and remixes in the modules (except category 5).
- The organizers have the right to participate in the competition.
- The organizers have the right to disqualify the module if it does not conform to the rules of the competition.
- The deadline is October 1, 2009.
- The voting will be public and available on the web-site within one week after the deadline.
Categories of Compo:
1. 4 kb executable Picatune Chip Tune Compo
The size of the exe file should not exceed 4 kb ( 4096 bytes )
2. 32 kb Chip Tune Compo
The size of the module should not exceed 32 kb ( 32768 bytes )
The allowed module formats MOD,S3M,XM,IT,BRT (internal compression allowed).
3. 48 kb executable Chip Tune Compo
The size of the exe file should not exceed 48 kb ( 49152 bytes )
4. 64 kb Chip Tune Compo
The size of the module should not exceed 64 kb ( 65535 bytes )
The allowed module formats MOD,S3M,XM,IT,BRT (internal compression allowed).
5. 64 kb Remake Chip Tune Compo
The size of the module should not exceed 64 kb ( 65536 bytes )
The allowed module formats MOD,S3M,XM,IT,BRT (internal compression allowed).
The module should be necessarily a remake/remix of music!!!
6. 100 kb Chip Tune Compo
The size of the module should not exceed 100 kb ( 102400 bytes )
The allowed module formats MOD,S3M,XM,IT,BRT (internal compression allowed).
7. ZX-Spectrum Chip Tune Compo (AY/YM)
The allowed module formats STC,ASC,STP,PT3,PSC,FTC,SQT.
8. NES Chip Tune Compo
The allowed module format NSF.
Use chips: 2A03/07, VRC6, VRC7, MMC5, FDS, N106, FME7.
9. C64 Standart Chip Tune Compo
The allowed unreleased executable C64 files for SID 6581 or 8580, C64 PAL only!
Use standard C64 hardware configuration.
Use chips: 6581 or 8580.
